• Evidence-theory AI algorithm is introduced to locate the oscillation source. This synthesizes three traditional methods of oscillating source location. paper proposes a multi-oscillation positioning strategy. presents method for localizing sources based on data fusion Dempster–Shafer (D-S) evidence theory. study each bus from system collected by phasor measurement units (PMUs). Then D-S theory employed establish mass function and trust degree bus. Three are used provide calculation results structuring algorithm. Finally, decision localization made according synthesis value. The higher value, possibility an WECC179 power applied verification, compared with above methods. It proved that can significantly improve accuracy locating negatively damped oscillations forced oscillations, effectively reduce misjudgment. Meanwhile, this also effective complex dual sources.

Improved information fusion approach based on D-S evidence theory
Conventional D-S evidence theory has an unavoidable disadvantage in that it will give counter-intuitive result when fusing high conflict information. This paper proposes an improved method to solve this problem. By reassigning weight factors before fusing, the method can give reasonable results especially when the initial weight factors of conflict evidences are almost equal. It gives an adjust...
متن کاملRobust Fuzzy-pid Controller to Enhance Low Frequency Oscillation Using Improved Particle Swarm Optimization
This paper presents a new improved from particle swarm optimization to tune optimal rule-base of a Fuzzy Proportional Integral Differential (FPID) which leads to damp low frequency oscillation following disturbances in power systems, while called Particle Swarm Optimization with Time Variant Acceleration Coefficient (PSO-TVAC). Thus, extraction of an appropriate set of rules or selection of an ...
متن کاملLow Frequency Noise Sources in InAlAs / InGaAs MODFET ’ s
Detailed analysis of the 1/f low-frequency noise (LFN) in In0:52Al0:48As/InGaAs MODFET structures is performed, for low drain bias (below pinch-off voltage), in order to identify the physical origin and the location of the noise sources responsible for drain current fluctuations in the frequency range 0.1 Hz–105 Hz. Experimental data were analyzed with the support of a general modeling of the 1...
متن کاملLocation methods of oscillation sources in power systems: a survey
The deployment of a synchrophasor-based widearea measurement system (WAMS) in a power grid largely improves the observability of power system dynamics and the operator’s real-time situational awareness for potential stability issues. The WAMS in many power grids has successfully captured system oscillation events, e.g. poorly damped natural oscillations and forced oscillations, from time to tim...
متن کاملSources of oscillation frequency increase with rising solar activity
We analyze and interpret SOHO/MDI data on the variations of oscillation frequency changes between 1996 and 2004 focusing on differences between activity minimum and maximum of solar cycle 23. We study only the behavior of the centroid frequencies, which reflect changes averaged over spherical surfaces. Both the f-mode and p-mode frequencies are correlated with general measures of the sun’s magn...
